Prepare the necessary tools and materials: you will need an Accossato brake pump, Phillips screwdriver, combination wrench, a drainage kit (two silicone tubes with a diameter of 8 mm and two plastic threaded elements), Accossato DOT 4 brake fluid and a vice to lock the brake pump.
- Lock the master cylinder: Place the master cylinder on a workbench and secure it with a vice. Make sure it is mounted at a 20�� angle from the horizontal.
- Remove the Accossato brake fluid reservoir cap
- Top up the reservoir with Accossato DOT 4 brake fluid
- It is recommended to squeeze the tube that connects the Accossato brake fluid reservoir, so as to let all the air out. Repeat the procedure until all the air bubbles have come out.
- First insert the combination wrench and then the silicone tube onto the bleed valve
- Pull the lever twice and then hold it down and then open the bleed valve to let the air out
- Close the valve and release the brake lever abruptly
- Repeat the operation until only oil comes out of the bleed screw
If the operation has been carried out correctly, the stroke will only be 2 cm.
If the lever spins freely, the operation must be repeated as there is a risk that air may remain inside the system.
