What Is an Axial Brake Caliper?

Mounting Centre vs Offset: What's the Difference?
The mounting centre defines the distance between the fixing points.
The offset defines the lateral position of the caliper relative to the mounting bracket and brake disc. An incorrect offset can prevent the caliper from aligning correctly with the braking track, even when the mounting centre appears compatible.
Always verify:

- caliper offset;
- front or rear installation;
- brake disc diameter and thickness;
- braking track height;

Front and Rear Axial Brake Calipers

Some brake calipers are supplied with two brake pads available in different friction compounds, while others are sold without pads, which must be purchased separately using the correct part number.
